This disclaimer applies to products identified as prototypes, experimental products, evaluation products, development products, preproduction products, or similar terms.
Development Status
Prototype products are offered for evaluation, testing, fit checks, proof-of-concept work, education, and product development. They are not represented as finalized production products.
Designs, materials, dimensions, manufacturing processes, specifications, and appearance may change in later revisions.
Customer Evaluation
The customer is responsible for evaluating:
- Dimensional compatibility
- Mechanical fit
- Strength and load capacity
- Wear and service life
- Temperature exposure
- Chemical exposure
- Electrical compatibility
- Environmental conditions
- Installation methods
- Regulatory or certification requirements
No Safety-Critical Use
Unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written document, prototype products must not be used in medical, life-support, protective, emergency, aviation, automotive-safety, structural-safety, or other applications where failure could cause injury, death, environmental harm, or substantial property damage.
Installation and Modification
Improper installation, modification, machining, drilling, adhesive use, excessive torque, misalignment, overloading, or use outside stated specifications may cause failure.
The customer assumes responsibility for integration, testing, guarding, maintenance, and safe operation within the customer’s system.
